Year 6 Term 5 Week 4

Welcome to SATs Week. This is it. The moment you’ve all been waiting for. The most important week of your life so far…Well, maybe not…

SATs or No SATs it is still a good time to reflect on how far you’ve come. You have worked incredibly hard; developed your resilience, independence and perseverance; memorised every one of 200 orange words and every times table and can spot the subjunctive mood at 100 paces. You deserve to be proud of your achievements. We certainly are!

It may be the strangest SATs week we’ve ever had but atleast some things never change: Mr Heath is baking, Mrs Sormani is making weird scientific substances, Miss Slade is singing to herself and Mrs Spence is using the eyes in the back of her head to spot troublemakers - even if they are slugs on her seedlings!

You’ll notice the maths and English are both a little different this week with more opportunities to make choices and direct your own learning. We look forward to seeing your results.

Keep listening out for our calls, there’s still a few of you lucky souls waiting for a chat with your favourite teacher. Remember we will be calling from a withheld number but will leave a voicemail if we can’t get through.

We hope you all have a fabulous week and enjoyed your long weekend.

Right I better go, apparently Otto has spotted something interesting…
