On Monday, classes visited the polling station we set up in the Hall to cast their votes in the School Council elections. We run this election just like a real one, to show the children how our democratic government system works. We took extra precautions this year to make sure that we observed all the covid-safety procedures: children collected their own voting slip and used their own pencil, and we made sure that the class "bubbles" did not cross each other's paths. Voting was completed before lunch, and the count took place in the afternoon, with winners being announced on Tuesday morning.
