Hundreds of years ago, before the days of the printing press, monks sat in monastery libraries painstakingly writing out the scriptures in beautiful illuminated texts, with coloured inks and quill pens made from feathers.
These days, calligraphy is still a popular artform, as well as a very practical skill. In this club, children learn how to turn the written word into a thing of visual wonder!
