New Adventure

Our new playground equipment is ready for action

School Council official opened the new adventure playground on Tuesday 13th November 2018. HJSTV filmed the opening ceremony. Mr Parr cut the ribbon, and then the school councillors were the first to test out the new equipment. We've installed a large log climber, a new log/rope walk, some balance beams and a tunnel. The playground encourages creative play as well as physical exercise.

We've installed "fake grass" so that the adventure playground can be used all year round. There's enough space for a whole year group at a time to play, so we've organised a rota to make sure everyone gets a fair turn.

We are enormously grateful to our parents' association, HENSA, who made a significant contribution towards the cost. We hope that in the coming year we will be able to raise more funds to extend the play area and safety surface so that even more children can access a wider variety of play activity.
