Hello Everyone!
Welcome back to the year 6 distance academy, where everything is totally modern…. We have Miss Slade vlogging about maths, Mrs Spence offering virtual garden tours and Mr Heath live streaming his #vanlife … taking SATs tests and sitting on benches is so 2019!
We hope you’ve had a lovely holiday with your families. We all miss you guys a lot and it feels very strange to be starting what is usually the most important term of the Juniors without you all. Remember what Mrs Spence says, this is just another little hurdle…we will triple-step our way right over it!
We are trying to give you more structure this term, with 3 lessons planned for each day. You will need to watch a video for maths but otherwise you shouldn’t need too much screen time (you’re welcome). You’ve got a news report to make for English, Top Trump cards for topic and a board game for science. Plus all the usual reading, spelling and exercising to keep your brain healthy and happy.
Thank you to those of you who have started to send us work to the class email address. We love seeing what you’ve been getting up to and have been seriously impressed by the quality of your writing. If you haven’t sent anything in yet please do, we worry if we haven’t heard from our precious babies!
