Y6 11.10.17

Key messages from the Year 6 team from the 6th week of term.

This week in English we have been planning and drafting our newspaper report. Next week, we will be editing and publishing our reports on 'The Trial of Stanley Yelnets'. We would recommend sharing an article with your child over the weekend looking for the features included.

In maths we have been working on multiplication, particularly long multiplication. Next week we will be look at 'special numbers' including multiples, factors and primes.

We will be checking Reading Record sheets after half term looking for stretch and breadth of reading. We will be getting a copy of each of the recommended books for our class libraries this week.

We are continuing with suffixes in spelling focusing on root words ending in -y.
