Year 4 , week 4


This week in maths our focus is making links between the 3, 6 and 9 with a real focus on the 9 times tables and rounding four-digit numbers (and greater) to a multiple of ten, hundred and thousand.

In English, we are continuing with writing our Greek Myths focussing on the build-up and climax using interesting adjectives, fronted adverbials, expanded noun phrases aiming towards descriptive paragraphs.


We have started unit 1 - adding the prefix  mis-, in-, un- and dis- some good examples for children to practise are: misbehave, mislead, mismatch, unfair, disagree, inhuman and misspell.

Please look in children's' blue log book for the words which they have recorded to practise at home. They should also continue to learn the orange words for this term.
