Welcome back! We hope you feel rested and had a wonderful break.
This week, in maths we have continued with our learning of fractions, looking at improper fractions and children are applying their improved knowledge (which is vitally important for understanding fractions-keep working on them at home!).
In English, we are continuing to draft and edit our mini-sagas, focussing on powerful word choices, matching appropriate adverbs to our verbs and accurate punctuation.
We will be building our own volcanoes in topic this term and are asking children to bring in empty drinks bottles (small plastic ones work best) from home.
Spellings this week are words with the 's' sound, spelt 'sc' such as science. scent and scissors.
