In Maths, we are learning how to find equivalent fractions (1/2, 2/4, 4/8) by looking at different visual representations. Children should continue to regularly practise their tables (up to x12) for their weekly homework.
In English, we have started our new topic of 'recounts'. This week we will be focusing on features of diaries, writing our own by the end of the week. We will be moving onto newspaper reports after half term.
Please remember that the Year 4 'bake-off' and cake sale will take place on Monday 19th February - the first day back after half term. If children would like to take part they will need to bring their entries into the school hall in the morning, with their £1 contribution to our partner school in Uganda. All proceeds from the cake sale after school will also go to Uganda.
Have a lovely half term and remember to keep reading, practising X tables and orange spelling words!
Unit 8 - words with the s sound spelt 'sc'.
Scissors, science, muscle, scene, fascinate, ascend, scent.
For homework, children should continue to learn the words they have logged.
Term 3 orange words
