NW24 Art Competition

Bristol - our city

Elmlea Infant School organised an art competition for NW24 members in the spring term 2019.

Each school in the partnership was invited to submit one entry in each age category. We set the children a homework challenge over the Easter holiday, to respond to the title "Bristol, our city". We were delighted to receive entries in a range of media and styles. Children sent in pencil sketches, paintings, collages, scultpures and photographs.

School Councillors voted for their favourites in the Lower Key Stage 2 and Upper Key Stage 2 categories, and staff also voted. Both chose the same winners: Ariella in Year 3 and Grace in Year 5. These were sent off to Elmlea for judging against artwork from other schools by local artist Andy Council.

All the artwork will be on display at our Celebration Evening in June.
